My name is Natalie Leavenworth and I set up this website the help people lose weight faster.

One of the most challenging things that nearly everyone will have to do at some point in their life is losing weight.  It is one of the most difficult things to do out there.  I used to struggle with the problem of weight loss, and quite frankly I believe it’s because there is a lot of bogus information floating around out there.  There are all sorts of ways out there ranging from starving yourself to popping celebrity-endorsed diet pills all day.  Sadly, most of these things won’t get you the results you want.

When you have some extra weight that you want to get rid of, you want it gone as soon as possible.  Though you might see some initial, yet slow success, you may find yourself searching out ways to lose weight faster.  I know you may secretly find yourself being jealous of all those thin people out there.  Why do they have it so easy?  Do they know something the rest of us don’t?  I used to struggle with weight loss, constantly trying out all sorts of strange diets and workout programs.  Here, I’ll be showing you what I’ve learned that has helped me lose weight faster and keep it off for good.

Here are just a few quick tips.  Other things will be covered more in depth in the rest of this site.

First, get in the habit or writing down everything that you eat.  I used to eat all the time–grazing is what they call it.  I would snack while watching television, while pecking away at the computer, while calling up friends on the phone, pretty much any time I possibly could.  Once you start writing everything down, you break that “food hypnosis” and actually start paying attention to what you’re putting in your mouth.  This is a great tool to help you lose weight faster because you will not only be forced to ask your self “Do I really want to eat this and have to write it down in my food journal?”, but you will also be able to look back on this food journal and see what you’ve been eating and use it to help you see how many calories you’re eating and what your diet actually consists of.  From here making tweaks in your diet can be fairly easy.

Another little tip is to let it be okay to start small.  You don’t have to make a huge heroic effort and turn your whole life upside-down.  In fact that will probably result in failure.  The Japanese have a term called Kaizen, which is essentially the power of small little steps.  By making small changes in our lifestyle, such as going for a short walk in the evening, or replacing one unhealthy food in your diet for a healthy snack, you can start to turn your life around.  You see these small changes start to stack on top of one another and you build tiny little healthy habits that you are more likely to stick to.  They begin to snowball, and soon you find that you will naturally start to lose weight faster and faster.
